The house next door is growing… and it just celebrated its first snow!

The kid’s school had a music festival… kids from a few other academies came to work together and finally put on a very nice concert.

If you are very observant you might notice Peter in the picture below right.

We had another celebration – an OLD friend just had a birthday! From the cake it looks like Marv is 08. He’s a big Jeep guy, so even though we were told no gifts, a couple of us gave him Jeep models.

We are fixing up Cherryl’s mother’s old house to use as a rental. One thing I volunteered to do was spruce up the garage a bit. It was looking pretty dark and ugly. So I decided to drywall the rest of the garage… because I forgot how much work it is! The walls are 10.5 feet tall, meaning I needed to use 12 foot sheetrock. Those dudes are heavy!
I have all the rock up now, and am about 2/3 done with the first coat of mud. It’s going to look good someday!

Peter and Kevin came over to finish up the project they had going. It’s sort of a double ended sword thing. More sawing, sanding and routing and it came out looking pretty cool. They are going to put a wood burning finish on it. I’ll try to put a picture up once they have it burned to their pleasure.
