Spring is Building!

The weekend was made extra special because our Daughter Karen came to visit!
No, she didn’t fly in on this biplane, but it might have been faster! Both her arrival flights and departure flights were delayed… some for mechanical reasons, most for wind and snow. She had an extra 6 hours or so on the inbound flight, and a full day for the outbound. It was so bad that she rented a car and drove to Denver, and flew home to Spokane from there. We were sorry for her troubles, but got an extra night’s stay from her!

Karen, Becky, Kevin, Dayna, Peter spent time with us – family, food and fun!

All the grandkids had fun in Jeanne and Steve’s backyard, building a tall fort.

Speaking of building, the place down the street is still growing up. OK, I know it’s going to grow a lot more, but it’s fun to see it progressing.

I finally finished drywalling the rental house garage. In a few days, the painters will have finished it and it will be all done!

On Sunday our Lincoln Adventist Men’s Chorus sang at the home church of our pianist, Lily. A lot of fun!

Mid-week, a few of us (6) met at the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center to look for rare migrating birds. The grass has yet to green up, but it really was very pretty anyway!

We didn’t find our unusual birds, but had a nice time outdoors with great scenery and wonderful weather…

We also spent a while at Stagecoach Lake and saw lots of migrating ducks. And somebody fishing from a canoe…
