50 years ago this month, I travelled to Japan to serve God and maybe find a bit of adventure. There I met a cute, feisty gal who I decided I definitely needed to spend some time with.
I was right! We were married a little over a year later, and have had more than our fair share of adventures!
Now we are extremely happy that our whole family – daughters, sons-in-law, and cool grandkids – are with us in Japan! We get to share one of our happy places with our whole family!
So this blog, and the next couple after it, will be brief. We’re having too much fun to spend time sorting pictures! I promise when we return to Nebraska, I will put together a more thorough compilation of pretty places. See you later!

At the last minute, I’m adding a photo of all of us at the Samurai Master’s class on the header for this blog. We had a private class, and learned about the fascinating history of the Samurai, while dressed appropriately. We even used real swords, and practiced slicing the heads off of cardboard attackers!
