It has been windy and warmer… hints that spring is creeping in! Even some grass greening up a little here and there.
Our life definitely took a bit of a turn this week, so this picture represents a turn in the road.

The road is inside Stagecoach State Recreation Area. We’ve stayed here in the motorhome a few times over the last 6 years, and now we’re walking through the park looking for birds.

The ice is off the lake, and it’s almost warm.

We saw Canada Geese, Lesser Scaups, Buffleheads, Coots, Robins and one lone Bald Eagle. Far more than we expected after we first started walking!

Now that we have a house without wheels, our home with wheels has been on the market. Before we were ready to sell, however, our insurance had promised us a new windshield. The replacement didn’t go as smoothly as we’d hoped, and actually took a couple of weeks to get it done correctly. Here it is at Stephenson’s Truck Repair, who will fix the first place’s goof up. Note the hidden windshield wipers. (They were lost at the first place)

Another afternoon we explored the Beal Slough Disc Golf Course. Not being Disc Golfers, we had not heard of this course. It turns out it is rated Number 1 in Nebraska, and Number 70 in the world! I’m guessing there are more than 71 courses in the world! Actually, the previous sentence made me look it up, and there are over 16,000 Disc Courses in the world! So this one is impressive!

Some of the holes are quite long, like the 573 foot hole mentioned in the picture above. I’m sure it’s going to look really gorgeous when leaves appear on the trees and everything greens up.

We’ll have to post updated pictures when the #1 course in Nebraska is all greened up!

I’ve been taking forever getting my new garage put together. First was finishing the floor, then a new electric panel in the garage and new outlets, lights and heaters. Now I’ve almost finished the new drywall (back wall and ceiling were already done.) Next is insulating the ceiling. Once that is done I can move the ladder out of the access opening.

So here is the bittersweet picture… We have officially sold our gorgeous motorhome. While we are sad to see it go, and recognize the end of our nomadic lifestyle, we are really happy to see it go to such a nice couple. We have been praying that a couple would buy it, who recognized its value, and would not only take good care of it, but have lots of fun adventures in it as well! Mike and Jen not only meet those requirements, but are super nice folks as well! Who knows? Maybe they will send me some pictures of their adventures occasionally!

Blessings on you, Mike and Jen!
P.S. Mike is a sourdough baker, and gave Cherryl some starter and tips on baking with it! She has always loved sourdough, but it wasn’t easy on the road. Maybe now!
