Last week I ended with a bit of a puzzle… Where were we headed? As one window shot from an airplane indicated, (and some of you figured out) we were indeed headed south. But we changed planes in Houston, then headed east to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Instead of cold and windy, it was now very warm and gorgeous!
We had a fun urban view from our hotel window:
We enjoyed a walk in between the high-rises, headed towards a nice place for dinner.
The dinner venue was just a fun as it had promised to be. Such great food and good vibe that I can’t remember its name!
A little before noon the next day, a shuttle took us to our cruise ship. We were in time to have a nice lunch, and before long it was time to watch the ship wind its way out of the harbor.
The ship had small celebrations of Easter everywhere… at least the chocolate and bunny varieties.
The first few days on a cruise ship seem to be spent finding your way around… and this trip has followed that tradition! Here’s someone who admitted to his perpetual quest by putting a sign near his cabin door.
I’m not going to reveal our plans very far in advance… only to say we are embarking on a trip I’ve looked forward to for a long time. And one hint – We have a journey of about 2 weeks at sea, with only one stop in the first 11 days. And that is just to get us to where the real adventure begins!
Below is an early morning picture of the first land we’d seen in about 4 days. Care to guess where that might be? Have a guess if you dare!
