A Little Longer in Lincoln

While Steve & Jeanne were away, we were house sitting for them, and wanted to get the leaves picked up. The big leaves in the back yard we raked, but the smaller ones in front we chose to eat up with the lawn mower. I did the back, Cherryl did most all the front, and we filled 5 huge barrels before the trash man came!

Sunday afternoon was the Fall Festival at the grandkid’s school. Lotsa people and noise! All kinds of silly games, some fun food, and the chance to yell at friends (because normal voices couldn’t overpower the ambiance.)

Becky spent most of the time at the Hot Chocolate booth, raising money for the Home & School group. An amusing booth involved pie throwing. I’m not sure how they obtained their victims, but there was some serious mess made!

Speaking of making messes, I taped the bit of drywall we had just installed. OK, I didn’t make too much of a mess, and it is looking much better!

Saturday night the Men’s Group that Kevin sings in performed at an SDA church across town. I had never been to it before, and was surprised at the handsome old building.

The concert was well attended, and had some really nice music. A beautiful way to end the day!
